Judge Orders Couple To Singer Karaoke Party Or Lose Home

Judge Orders Couple To Singer Karaoke Party Or Lose Home

A California couple will have to either have a karaoke party for their friends and family or face eviction from their home, according to a ruling by a Superior Court judge.

The ruling stems from a case dating back to 2016, when the homeowners' association for the complex the couple lived in filed a lawsuit against them, alleging they had repeatedly violated the complex's rules.

One of those rules was a prohibition on large gatherings, which the homeowners allegedly violated on multiple occasions, including hosting a party that drew more than 100 guests.

In issuing his ruling, Superior Court Judge Paul Bacigalupo said he had considered the homeowners' argument that they should be allowed to hold the karaoke party as an alternative to being evicted.

But he ultimately sided with the homeowners' association, ruling that the party could still pose a safety hazard and that the couple should not be rewarded for violating the complex's rules.

Woman Wins $10,000 From Karaoke Party Bet

When 36-year-old Brooke Lierman arrived at the karaoke party Friday night, little did she know that by the end of the night, she would be $10,000 richer.

The single mother of two was visiting friends in Arlington, Virginia for the weekend and decided to join them for a few rounds of karaoke at the local bar. After a few beers and some high-quality karaoke performances, the group got up to leave – with one exception. Brooke had wagered her friends that she could out sing anyone in the bar. Her friends weren't so sure.

"I have been singing since I was a kid and I love to perform," Brooke said. "I knew I could win that bet."

And she did. Not only did Brooke outperform her challengers, but she won $10 from each of them. With an extra $40 in her pocket, she called it a night and went home happy.

"This was my first time winning any kind of money like this and it felt great," said Brooke. "I can't wait to do it again – maybe next time I will bring my kids along and make it a family affair!"

Police Raid Karaoke Party Gaming Den

On early Saturday morning, a local karaoke spot in the city's entertainment district was raided by the police.

According to authorities, the establishment was being used as an illegal gaming den, and was host to numerous underage patrons.

Dozens of uniformed officers stormed the building around 2am, making several arrests and confiscating gambling paraphernalia.

The proprietor of the business is facing several charges, including conducting an unauthorized business and providing a place for gambling.

Neighbors who had complained about noise and other disturbances at the karaoke spot were relieved at the news of the raid.

"I'm so glad something was finally done about that place," said one woman who asked not to be identified. "The music was always too loud, and it was a regular hangout for rowdy teenagers."

Woman Wins $1 Million Playing Karaoke Party Slot

A woman has become a multi-millionaire after winning $1 million playing the Karaoke Party slot machine at a casino in Nevada. The lucky player, who has not been identified, was reportedly celebrating her birthday at the casino when she hit the massive jackpot.

Karaoke Party is a five-reel slot with 20 paylines that is themed around karaoke night at a bar. The game's main bonus feature is a singing competition in which players are awarded cash prizes for their efforts.

This latest win comes just weeks after another lucky player hit a $1.5 million jackpot on the same machine. Slot manufacturer Bally Technologies Inc. said that both wins were due to the game's "party bonus" which awards randomly generated prizes of up to 500x the player's bet amount.

"It's been an amazing year so far for our players on Karaoke Party," said Bally Technologies spokesman Mike Traskos. "We're thrilled that these wins have helped to make such a special time even more memorable for two very lucky players."

Couple's Karaoke Party Nightmare Ends In Divorce

Couples who love to sing together, may want to think again before hosting a karaoke party. One Maryland couple's karaoke party nightmare has ended in divorce.

The couple, who have asked to remain anonymous, hosted a karaoke party for friends and family at their home in December. Things got a little out of hand and the argument that ensued led to the wife filing for divorce just two months later.

"It was just supposed to be innocent fun," the wife said. "But my husband kept insisting on singing country songs and I'm not a fan of country music. Then he started belting out these really sad ballads and it was just too much."

The argument that ensued led to the wife filing for divorce just two months later.

The husband blames his wife for the divorce, stating that she wasn't able to let go and have some fun. "She's always so serious," he said. "I thought it would be a fun way to loosen her up a bit but it obviously didn't work."

Needless to say, the karaoke party was not the success either party had hoped for. If you're considering hosting a karaoke party with your significant other, proceed with caution!
